Shipping policy

Overview

All rope is handmade to order by our two-person team. We do not keep pre-made inventory. Each piece is cut, whipped, and finished individually after your order is placed. Please read this policy in full before ordering, especially if you need rope by a specific date.

Processing Time

Because every order is made by hand, processing time varies based on order volume and complexity. Some orders ship within a few days. Others take longer, particularly during busy periods. POSH rope is imported from Holland and sometimes we have delays with tariffs and customs. We are not an instant-ship operation, and we can not guarantee a fixed processing window.
If you need rope for an event or a specific date, please order well in advance. Ordering a few days ahead is generally not enough lead time. When in doubt, contact us before purchasing and we will give you an honest assessment of whether your timeline is feasible.

Large and Custom Orders

For larger orders (approximately 7 or more ropes) or any order involving custom whipping or special lengths, we will often reach out to confirm details before production begins. This ensures you receive exactly what you want and offer you options you might not have known were available to you. Please note that custom work and large orders add to overall processing time.

Shipping Carriers and Methods

We ship primarily via USPS, typically using flat rate boxes. Shipping options and rates are calculated at checkout based on your order and destination. Once your order ships, transit time is determined by the carrier and is separate from our processing time.
Recently the volatility of shipping rates has caused our shipping costs to double from 2024 to 2026. While we strive to keep costs low, we refuse to forego certain standards to ensure your products are delivered.

Discreet Packaging

We ship all orders in discreet, unmarked packaging, usually USPS flat rate boxes. There is no external branding or description of contents on the package. The return address simply reads "Shipping Department" and features and address not listed in any public company information. Nosy neighbors will remain oblivious.

Order Tracking

You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. Please allow time for the carrier to scan and update tracking after pickup. Especially lately, carriers are not great at keeping their updates current. We are seeing the "we don't even know if the package exists" statuses right up to delivery more frequently than we like. We have automated emails to tell you when your package is out for delivery and when it is delivered, but they go out when the carrier updates tracking. 

Shipping Costs and Refunds

Shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has shipped. If a return or cancellation applies under our return policy, the refund will not include any shipping charges paid on a shipped order.

Address Accuracy

Please verify your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer. If a package is returned to us due to an address error, you may be responsible for additional shipping costs to resend it.
Sometimes our system flags potential mis-entered addresses and we will reach out to you via email to confirm these details. We will not ship until we make contact with you so your prompt reply will lessen any delays.

Delays, Lost, and Damaged Packages

Once a package leaves our hands, it is in the care of the carrier. We are not responsible for carrier delays. If your package appears lost or arrives damaged, contact us and we will help you work with the carrier to resolve the issue.
